Darkest day in US history in my lifetime

Possibly since the creation of our Republic. Communists officially reign in Washington. They have taken control of congress, the Presidency, 99% of the lower courts, the FBI, CIA, and DOD. They have stolen the voice and will of the people through subterfuge, treason, and bigotry. They have kicked the values that have made this country great out of government, and any resistance to their coup has been effectively bought off or intimidated into oblivion. They have twisted TRUE US history into a lie of racist, demonic falsehood and indoctrinated our kids with it. These people are EVIL to their core. And now they have TOTAL control of the country. This country and our Constitution is over. We will suffer (especially white Christian men) and become outcasts. We will ultimately be forced to seek our independence elsewhere.

Look - we have a vaccine that the Trump Administration successfully pushed through the release process via operation warp speed. It's being administered now. You may not like who is in office, but there's a very real possibility that life can finally return to normal very soon.

I agree and have no idea what’s gonna happen next. What I do know is that a ton of people, including myself, are now questioning everything and these events will change our country somehow. My 65 year old mother yesterday was pissed and said they they should all be hanged...or is it hung. I’ve never heard her mention political happenings in my life.

I wish this were true. Look to Europe to see what awaits us.
Life is not going to return to normal, even with a vaccine. This virus is "Mutating" (like all viruses do) and will continue to be a thorn in our sides for years to come.
If they were willing to shut everything down for the first strain and amass loads of political power in the process, why would they stop? The people surely didn't put up a fight to it.

Rest assured, democrats will frick this up...they always do. We have to work harder, vote better and tighten up the message for those opportunity areas where we lost some folks.
I have always been a Republican, despise the current establishment republicans, but admit that we need them as much as they ultimately need our votes to remain in office. Our focus needs to be on rural registration, better suburban messaging, better primary voting, politician accountability, etc. We can move out some of these RINO’s, but it takes time, dedication and focused effort.
While I wholeheartedly agree with the sense that we need a third party, I am not convinced of its practicality.
