It’s not about him. It’s about being a part of something larger than yourself. It’s about something that money can’t buy. Basically the same concept as every sacrifice that was made to have the free market society that we have today which allows people the ability to make millions of dollars in the first place.

Why should he keep playing for free when NFL teams will pay him for his future services?

The choice wasn’t LSU or the NFL, it was LSU or the couch. He chose the couch.

Sorry, I meant to say Le’veon Bell. I’m mixing up my douche bags.

The choice was LSU or start prepping for the NFL Draft. Chase chose to spend the past six months prepping for the most important job interview of his life. He's the rare case of college football player who showed his worth and had nothing left to prove on the college level after two years.

Why would he need more time to prep for his most important job interview than any other top player needs to prepare for their most important job interview? You would think if anything he’d need less time given his greatness.

That didn’t stop Antonio Brown from sitting out his money year.

And Hownis that working out for him?

That describes any player.

Usually you want to sign them because they’re good.

It stops 99% of players.

Part of prepping for the NFL Draft is staying healthy to keep the draft stock high. Chase is a proven talent at wide receiver. Why would he risk playing another season for free with millions of dollars at stake?

Given the circumstances when he made his announcement to opt out, no one could say with certainly if LSU would play 10 quarters of football, much less 10 games this season.

I get it, fans are upset at how the season turned out, but to place blame on Chase is misguided. LSU had plenty of problems on both sides of the ball that Chase wasn't going to solve.

If I was a GM I would question taking Chase. Quitting and not being there with your team at all is not a good look.

Good thing u aren’t one then clown. Sewell and Parsons opted out before the season and will be the first drafted at their positions in the top 10 like chase.

JJets laid the groundwork to make this a non choice. If the second best receiver on the 2019 team did what he did this year, it is a no brainer...unless he shows up to combine out of shape and slow.

You’re are correct sir. Bad NFL teams have rosters filled with very talented, low character players.

He may be a quitter, but 2019 wouldn't have been the same without him.....more than I can say for Smitty :D You guys gotta stop resenting Chase for his decision this year and remember what was accomplished with his help.

It's a great look. It shows he plays for money. That's exactly what the NFL wants. Every GM would have done the same.

Exactly! So now GMs know that if they quit paying Chase he will quit playing, lol.

Smh! He didn’t quit. He secured his future and family future. Can’t knock anyone for securing their future. Get over it and be satisfied with the highlights he created while playing in 2019!
