If I was a GM I would question taking Chase.
Quitting and not being there with your team at all is not a good look.

Smith wouldn’t give up the charger or momma house payments. Understandable

I mean he’s got talent. Highest ceiling.
Wishes he does well.
But if he’s quit before what makes u think he won’t quit again?

Because nfl contracts aren't that great. Right. Also, you get to keep the charger when you leave.

Don't be so sure. I think General Managers are going to start factoring in who quit to their composite score of players. If somebody can quit once they can do it again.

The best indicator of future behavior is relevant past behavior.

you can’t quit when the season hadn’t even started you moron. Only those that left during the season quit. God this board has some of the lowest IQ people the world can offer

This is why you will never be a GM. Chase didn't quit mid-year. He opted out before the season when no one knew how deadly or not COVID was going to be.

As much as I wish he had played, I can't find fault with his choosing before the season to opt out. I can't say the same for those that opted out during the season.

Well considering the NFL is never going to ask him to play for free in the middle of a pandemic while you are a projected top ten pick in the draft I don’t think NFL GM’s have anything to worry about.

Because you can withhold pay when they don’t play in the NFL.

Why do people forget what makes professional sports professional?

Once a quitter always a quitter.

I do understand why he did it. The decision however, did not sit well with a lot of people.

Chase will always be a great All time WR for LSU and the SEC. Hope he tears it up.
