If Freeman wants to be a head coach and soon, he’ll come here. Examples: Dave Aranda, Jimbo Fisher, Will Muschamp, Joe Brady (potentially)

Btw, I seriously doubt that if ND offers him extra money under the table he's going to sign a relatively tiny contract and count on the secret money.

There's nothing "under the table" about Notre Dame's coaching salaries. They simply don't have to report what the coaches make because they're not public employees. You don't think all of LSU's coaches' salaries comes from the university?

They are selling him on program stability

Yeah, the stability to get beat in big games and a 32 year drought of winning a NC. Real selling point. Maybe they watched Rudy together to glorify their winning days.

Let's be real, ND was a better name than LSU 20 years ago. Now?

Brian and Jack were impressed enough with Freeman that they want to make him the guy

Literally everyone is impressed with him.

I'm sure they like Nick Saban too.

They are selling him on program stability and cleanliness of the program, the luster of ND, and that they are thisclose to breaking through and he is apart of making that history.

There’s a list of scandals at ND under Kelly including academic fraud and a death.

Some people in this world are just really insecure and project that onto everything around them. And apparently all of those people are members of this website.

What about going 0-7 in New Years day bowls? Come to the best conference in the game and make your bones here. If you're the best you want to coach against the beat. Not saying there aren't great coaches at other schools(Venables) but the majority make it to the SEC.

Nobody is going to correct this guy? He even got 5 upvotes. Out of those listed, only one left for a head coach job.

The ND posters I saw on FB are crying about bringing in an "outsider that will only stay a couple of years". I guess it's not just here people say things without understanding how they work. If he is bad to mediocre then you can have tenure, but if you are great, it's on to bigger things.
I actually read where one said we should look for a guy that will be with us for a long time.
