Buying Ammo

I am aware of the shortage and everyone being mostly sold out, but are there any places y’all trust to order ammo online? I figured it would be easier to check websites instead of hoping to find some on the shelves at places by my house.
Plus, usually when a store gets some in, it’s gone within 24 hours.

I'll take the under. Way under.

What caliber are you specifically looking for? Many online retailers allow you to set up alerts when what you want becomes available.

I haven't used them, but was thinking about placing an order. Maybe someone who has can comment on this site.

I have bought from CTD before. Not a bad site and would buy again.

I ordered 9mm from this place called rogers sporting goods this week. Shipped in 1 day. .56 per round still hurts though. Got the federal boxes with 500

Personally, I would NEVER buy from CTD. They were found guilty of price gouging multiple times by the Texas AG and ordered to refund more than $400,000 to it's customers. The owner does not care since he is raking in millions.
see link as this is not the first time they have been reported for price gouging CTD - price gouging
go to ammo seek search engine to find current prices

What is "price gouging", is it illegal in Texas for a private business to charge whatever they want for their merchandise?

ask the Texas AG ... I just shared the link based on customer complaints and court documents. During State and Federal declared disasters, businesses shouldn't be greedy and dick the customer.

Thanks, that just saved me a couple of hundred dollars.

I was able to snag a couple of boxes from SGAmmo.com out of Oklahoma.
You need to check early in the morning every morning.

Just a follow up from Rogers Sporting goods. I went back and realized I paid $299 for 500 rounds. The price went down to $279 the next day. I emailed them and they refunded the difference. Good store.

SGAmmo has been great to order from. I noticed ammoseek doesn't always seem to have it exactly up to date as fast as the website.
I got some 7.62 from them a bit cheaper than I saw on ammoseek later on.

Texas considers ammo to be an essential item and prohibits significantly increasing the price during a state of emergency.
It's basically the same law saying you can't increase the price of baby formula x10 during a hurricane.

Rogers is reliable, check Sig and federal sites as well. I finally got off my duff and went to Academy (Lafayette) on Wednesday b4 new years. Got there 10 till 9, ther were 15 people waiting at door. They had a dozen or so boxes of Winchester 500 rd boxes which went first, they refused a few couples trying to double buy. By the time I was up they had 200rd Winchester which I took. 160ish including tax for 600 rounds.

PSA: if you spend over 70c/rd for 500+ rounds of brass 223/556 you are retarded
