Probably not. The chances that Orgeron and Saban select the same dude is slim. However, the odds are high that the agent, for whomever Orgeron goes after, will convince him that Saban wants the same guy. That way Orgeron will go straight to $2 million.

Nope. Saban is hiring a former NFL head coach and we are looking at a NFL QB coach who has never called plays

False. Bama will get whoever they want. We will overpay for the guy that was our 3rd or 4th best option.

God, if you’re reading this right now, please help us break that trend.

No, not all. It’s not the NFL Draft, or even recruiting.

Different coaches have different philosophies, systems and coaching networks.

Looks like Saban is looking at Bill O’Brien and Adam Gase. I doubt any other college is considering them.

I would be disappointed if LSU hired either. But they will probably do fine there.

Saban will hire his 4th consecutive failed head coach as OC.

What our fans would call a retread.

Another feeble excuse to take yet another unnecessary shot at O.
He doesn't handle the negotiations with agents, Woodard does...

Alabama is the Betty Ford clinic for fired coaches. If you look at their OC’s in past five years, they’re not head coaches at Ole Miss, Texas, Maryland and Brian Daboll will be an NFL head coach this month.

Well, O'Brien hasn't coached in college since 2013. He has been mostly successful as a coach, but a lot has changed since he was last in the college game.

Unfortunately for LSU, BOB won’t be making personnel decisions for Bama.

I’m just saying that Saban’s philosophy of hiring retread coaches, is a strategy LSU fans hate.

Well we don’t have any success with hiring fired coaches in coordinator roles. Saban runs a clinic on it.

Saban is borderline autistic, extremely OCD, and seems to have the coaching PROCESS™ figured out to a high degree.
It looks like over the last half decade, his new personal quest is finding promising but failed coaches, and "fixing" them, presumably by teaching them the PROCESS™ (although I wonder if he puts in a backdoor failsafe that he can defeat).

Got to wonder if this is some personal gratification on his part, to raise his own legacy beyond program builder, to coach builder too.
