She didn't age well but kudos to her for not going the plastic surgery route and try to hang on to her youth..
She actually became somewhat of a recluse because she didn't handle the fame very well..

ETA: Gilligan's Island trivia: The theme song to the pilot episode was written by John Williams. Yes. THAT John Williams. It didn't make the cut and was not the theme song used for the show that aired, though Williams did write music used during the episodes for a year.
Even in black and white from a distance, Mary Ann's legs are fricking fantastic.

I wasn't aware of her becoming a recluse & disenchanted because of her always being thought of as "Mary Ann". To the contrary, see always seemed to embrace that role and her fame and that any withdrawal from public life was due to age/health (wasn't she living in a retirement center), finances and decreasing demand for public appearances as her fan base began dying off.
I know she had a Twitter account and was posting on it about her public appearances up until the pandemic started.
