I say its Freeman DC, and Davis DL.

Doubt O waits for Saints playoff run to be over for Neilsen. That would have Davis needed more for the DL if he hires Freeman sooner.

Pelini didn’t have a spring.
They’re both better with practice. Also I dont Think we have spring practice till the spring.

There is no reason to rush now.
If he wants Neilsen, then wait until the Saints are finished.
BTW, Ryan Neilsen doesn't have a lot of experience as a DC, only a short stint as a Co-DC at Northern Illinois in 2012.
He would be a great hire for LSU DL development though; has done a very good job developing the Saints DL the last few years.........

I think most would be extremely happy if Freeman and Davis were hired. In fact, for most of us, this would be the best realistic scenario.

rumors are admin shut down the davis thing due to past violations. Stupid as that is not going to make one bit of difference in what ncaa will do.

So one game should be determinant for Freeman? Not his whole body of work? Will you consider the disparate talent level? Will you study the scheme and defensive play calls and not confuse superior athletic talent overcoming coaching ability and scheme with the level of that coaching ability and scheme?
