So one game should be determinant for Freeman? Not his whole body of work? Will you consider the disparate talent level? Will you study the scheme and defensive play calls and not confuse superior athletic talent overcoming coaching ability and scheme with the level of that coaching ability and scheme?

rumors are admin shut down the davis thing due to past violations. Stupid as that is not going to make one bit of difference in what ncaa will do.

If they're going to shy away from coaches due to shady recruiting they may as well shut the football, basketball and every other program down. Meat market? Wade?

Hope so. Don’t like hearing some coaches are scared off because of O meddling.

well to flip that.....Bo kind of brought that on himself with shitty performance after shitastic performance. He kind of had to. Despite giving up a ton of yards and still being shitastic they did improve, somewhat.

and last year he kind of had to after ole miss. The defense was horrible before that game and had its worst game. They got better after.

I dont like it a whole lot either but in both cases mentioned...O was correct in doing so.

This is revisionist nonsense. O admitted after last years ole miss game that he personally called several of the run blitzes that resulted in big TDs for ole miss.

After that game O stopped being as involved on in game D play calls, per O ! We played alot more base D after that game according to a podcast aranda was on after the championship game. Orgeron still thinks its the 90s, when you judge a defense on sacks and qb pressures. It's now about now giving up explosive plays.

So you are looking for something to support your belief he is not qualified to be the DC for LSU. Since his excellent resume and track record don't provide that support. One game is all you got left for that support. Got it.

Well is he has a good game plan and is innovative it should close the talent gap somewhat. I’m not saying he has to shut out Georgia, but it would be nice to see him with an effective scheme.

Not saying that it should all be based one one game verses a superior opponent, but often coaches who are successful at lower competition levels can bridge the talent gap...at least for a few quarters.

I do like the idea of him being the next DC. Would love to see him have that icing on the cake though.

If it is a blowout and it looks like he was clueless and the defensive game plan was horrible, then it would be a red flag.

My choice would be him with Davis coaching DL as an earlier post said.

Aranda got beat by Ohio St 59-0 in 2014 before we hired him.

talk about revisionist history. Our defense sucked until after ole miss. the insder guys have specifically said that O got more involved in the game plan after ole miss. More in the way he game direction to be more aggressive and to have Chiasson on the line more.

Maybe we did play more base but we sure as hell got a lot more pressure on teh QB after that game which served well.

your essentially making shite up. im no O apologist by any means but you are full of shite.

Great point! Hopefully he is as good as Aranda if we hire him.
