Shanahan got shite on a lot Bc the O line had some really bad games. He was an obvious scapegoat with the “JESUS WE’RE STARTING A HARVARD GUY” takes. But he was far from the worst linemen in those games, and by the end of the year was a strength, especially with Johnson. Combined they read and reacted well to pressure the last two games

You mentioned an extra year, and I misread it.

Wilson is a much better player than Shanny

And Shanny turned out to be above average player.

I think Wilson has the chance to be good.

Shanahan just physically doesn't look like an SEC type OL if he can get a full offseason under our training maybe he can add som lbs and strength. Doesn't hurt having someone that smart at center though - he'll be able to pick up the new OC which is great as well.

Redshirt junior = a senior. And auburn, which is not a knock on anyone, they had the best dline in the country. Was just making a point that because an olineman has a bad game or two doesn't make them a bad player, especially at a new position.

Nothing to do with one another.

We’re just in immediate need of support at o-Line across the board!

Wilson will have two (2) years of eligibility, Chalky.

(That is according to Brian Dohn of 247 sports)

That 280 lbs. is not accurate.

That was the kids weight entering college, and according to Julie at Tigerdetails, Wilson currently weighs in the 315 pound range.

The Auburn “commitment” tag per 247 is not technically accurate.

He did commit to them approximately two weeks prior to the Gus firing.

However, he ended up not signing during the early signing period because of uncertainty resulting from their coaching vacancy.

LSU has increased their pursuit and push for E. Wilson since that time, and it appears to be resonating with him. Sounds like to me LSU is in a good spot for Wilson.
