Again, are you saying they are not one of the best four teams? Because that is the only stated criterion of the committee.

I'm saying we don't know because they didn't play enough actual football games.

Ya know? The thing the whole thing is predicated on? Playing the game.

Remember when Bama lost to Ole Miss or Ohio State to Purdue?

Why do you think that happens?

Bama basically played two Ohio State seasons and they may meet in the playoffs. How is that fair at all to all the other teams who played 10 or more games?

They also have the benefit of minimizing injuries and the toll that an extra 5 games takes on the players. They should not be eligible.

It's absurd a team that played half the schedule can even qualify.

Of course Bama is better, so it shouldn't matter.. but what kind of garbage is this.

Still so much less wear and tear. I hope OSU beats them, but I still don't agree with it.

Bama just had their starting center go down for the year with 5 mins left in the 4th quarter of their 11th game of the season

Yet Ohio State gets to waltz into the playoffs healthy and happy with 6 games

I have to seriously question the ethics and morality of someone that can justify OSU getting in.

Just be honest and say you like the big name schools or the money. At least you're being honest.

Hey man Ohio St has some incredible wins in those six games though. They beat Indiana and Northwestern!

We should try to compare it to other sports like marathons.

The other playoff teams ran two marathons over 2 days.

OSU ran one marathon over two days.

They will now meet on the third day to determine who's the best long distance runner

The biggest conundrum is that Ohio State was one of only three non soy pieces of shite making the season happen and then getting all screwed by a bunch of trashy libs up North really killing their flow in a year they were universally one or two in.

So I feel like that is a solid plus on their side fighting to play things.

The lack of games is brutal too.

Its tough.

Don’t forget that there’s two undefeated conference champs out there with 9 wins and more victories over ranked opponents than Ohio St had.

Ohio St being ranked higher than Cinci and Coastal is actually a complete joke when you examine their schedules in detail.

This is my point. Playing 11 games is a hell of a lot different than 6 and it comes with a cost. Putting OSU in after 6 shitty wins is a joke and if that’s the precedent that we’re going to set, then everyone next year should take the season off after October.

Its pretty obvious that they are eating it pretty bad only playing like 3 games in the last 6 weeks and having that terrible B1G rules.

Their roster has been a complete disaster when they finally get to do anything.

Hard to tell anything thanks to coronabros

They may be undefeated but they haven't been particularly impressive in doing so. They haven't played any decent teams, their best opponent was indiana FFS

Who cares? This is not a real season. Every Conference had different Covid protocols, some were lenient and let all their players play and some sat them on the sidelines for weeks and cancelled tons of games...see Washington that just basically gave up after a couple of games.

So if you played 10+ games you're the more lenient laxed Covid protocol champs.

If anyone should have a gripe with OSU it's not the amount of games, it's their opposition - which was dreadful. They played two teams with a winning record.

If OSU miraculously wins this uber-MNC this year, they'd have 8 wins and probably the worst resume of any CFB champ since Minnesota in the first AP Poll in 1936.

Better watch out. BAMA fans will be in here accusing you of only believing that because your team isn’t winning.

They are SUPER defensive about this exhibition bullshite of a “season.”

I see a problem naming someone the same national title champion as previous college teams that played full schedules with a country that played full schedules. Literally if we go by your complaint we are looking an ACC/SEC playoff with a Big 12 getting in by default. Same goes for Heisman. Big ole asterisk to whoever wins that as well.

Also Notre Dame’s biggest win came against a number 1 Clemson without their starting quarterback who has won them a title and taken them to a second national title. But we still talk about how they beat number one. We just saw how they played them when Lawrence was playing. Literally Notre Dame can thank COVID for not being a two loss team right now. They look by that just because they are Notre Dame.

I’ve said this often that in a lot of ways I agree with you. A 6-0 team hasn’t gone through all the live game reps etc.

2020 is a strange year. CFB is no exception. If OSU was 8-1 and lost by 3 to Illinois for some strange reason I think more people would be fine with them in because they played the games.

In a way I draw 2007 parallels. There were opportunities to take that spot from OSU. If A&M is highly competitive with Bama or UF wins last night but doesn’t blow it to LSU or if OU doesn’t blow 2 games early in the season. I certainly think there are good arguments made for Cincy.

The BCS and the committee seem to agree that OSU should be in. I’m not going to complain if my team gets in. The lack of game reps has hurt OSU this season, and that is unfortunate as well.

I will cheer for my team while agreeing that the B1G should have started on 10/10 to allow for makeup games.

By logic of having 6-0 OSU in the playoff they should scrap 10-1 ND and put in 6-0 USC had they won their CG. Never mind they should have been 2-3 at best.

It’s easy to get lucky for 5-6 games and OSU didn’t even look impressive doing it. OSU is good and prob one of best 4 teams but resume doesn’t work. Nobody else to put in unfortunately.
