Without telling parents...today was early release day at 1:20 but someone decided to send them home at 12:45. Zero messages went out...parents are pissed. What a shite show. For those that don't know, this is 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.

You should write a strongly-worded letter to your Congressman.

Sounds like they wanted to go save good seats for happy hour.

The kids will survive wandering the streets for 45 minutes. No one wants your kid.

When I read this thread title I thought of some kind of intelligence agency when I saw CIS and release kids made me think we had some kind of The Giver situation going on.

The schools themselves are fine baw. I wouldn't have any issues putting my kid in Central public schools if we still lived out there.

It's F'd up because Central Community School System's policy is that a parent needs to be home to receive kids off the bus if they're not in 5th grade or above.

big whoop.
our school called us Monday at 10:45 and said we are letting all 1st graders out at 11 and they will not be returning the rest of the week. Come pick them up in 15 minutes.

Like it would have fricking mattered if they stayed at school the rest of the day. You aren't saving anyone from Covid by letting them out early like that and fricking up every parents day and work week by doing this.

doesnt apply here because of the young age, but with most teens

girls with boyfriends all had sex in their parents beds

single boys got together to get high as frick and drink alcohol

and none of them wore their masks

for most kids it probably was the best day they had all year
