I forgot about him. Why did he leave?

I would assume Cole Tracy and Cade York probably pushed him off the depth chart.

Glad he had a great year.

I'm guessing Tracey and York. They've been great for us.

Yup and he really struggled in 2017, glad he figured it out. He hit a big ~45 yarder to take the lead that year vs Auburn which I didn’t think LSU should have even attempted given his inconsistency, but it was a clutch kick.

He was really bad in 2017 and instead of hoping for the best we got two of the best kickers in LSU history.

Cole Tracy and Cade York were much better

Culp hit 13 of 15 from FG this year but they were almost all chip shots. He had only 1 kick over 40 yards all season long. Didnt attempt a single kick over 50 yards.

So 12 of 14 kicks came from within 39 yards or less. He went 8 for 10 from 30-39 yard range.

Honestly not impressive there.

Only 12 of his 35 kickoffs were for touchbacks this season

Tracey replaced him because he had no range and was inconsistent

York than came in and has been lights out as well

He just got beat out by better kickers, nothing more

Good to see he got to go to Nebraska and get a chance

He had a nice couple of kicks against Auburn in 2017 but he wasn't that good. I think LSU's done alright without him the last three seasons.

Culp wasn't that bad, it was because they kept switching kickers that season and Gonsoulin had no leg strength (4 for 9 on the year )

Culp was 11 for 16 on the year but two of those misses were against Tennessee in a game where the wind was blowing crazy hard. I'm sure some of you remember that game, it was nuts.

Because Coach Chris didn't want him here.

Yeah I remember having no confidence in him kicking anything further than like 42 yards

Had a class with him, quiet kid. Really cool though, glad he is getting his due.

Same here. He really turned Nebraska's kicking game around. Last year it was a disaster.
