Well, that's it. Christmas is canceled due to a lack of hustle.

God bless John Bel Edwards for doing everything within his power to save even one life. I don’t know how he hasn’t been mentioned for Harris’s cabinet.

Thanks for keeping this up- I still like to follow the numbers and see what trends, if any, we’re following.

Most deaths since September.

You can expect our dogshit local media to repeat this over and over today

It was a two-day dump. A Lamar Jackson, if you will.

Because the media has not explained that it is highly unlikely that you will catch it twice.

37 out of 300 million unlikely.

Every black person I know has gotten tested multiple times after having it even when they know they're going to be positive.

shite like this is why people are skeptical about just about everything related to COVID, including getting injected with brand new vaccine technologies that have never been used before. Guidance regarding masks has changed so many times it is impossible to keep up. Misinformation and refusal to correct silly behaviors such as wearing masks alone in a car go unaddressed. Transmission rates between and from young children to adults are not discussed openly because it would affect the narrative that everyone should be in constant fear.

Any data that contradicts the doom and gloom gets swept to the side, while exceedingly rare anecdotes about transmissions, deaths among the young and healthy, etc. get front page coverage. It's maddening, and it's why there is so little trust in leadership when they issue new rules and lockdown orders. Just once, I'd love to hear a Fauci type come out and say "Yes, we were wrong about that", but it never happens. Just keep driving the fear.

Total cases by collection date on or after 12/1/2020 - 27,004, plus hospitalizations equals 28,601. The number I posted yesterday using the same methodology was 29,777. There are 1,176 fewer active cases today than yesterday, a decrease of 3.95%. 2,496 of the 2,617 new cases are from test dates during this time.

This drop was expected as the Monday after Thanksgiving had the highest case count for the entire year, probably due to low volume of test during the 4 day weekend. The next 3 days that will fall off are also above average counts, so hopefully my active case count will continue to fall.

Downvote all you want, but it's very clear that there is a serious messaging and trust issue between the people and their benevolent leaders that, if not corrected soon, will only make it more difficult to get compliance with directives in the future when they're really needed.
