I think many people overreacted to the Eagles game. 3rd straight road game vs a team w a great DL and a new qb who can run was going to be tough.

Taysom does some things well, some others not so well, but Sean Payton loves him too much and seems to want to be right about Taysom way too much. I know we couldn’t completely change the offense, but Sean seems to want to prove he can run the same offense as Brees, rather than make the offense fit what Taysom is best at. I feel like Sean could be much more creative w Taysom’s skill set if he wasn’t trying to prove Taysom can be a true QB.

I mean the only thing I am worried about is his decision making.

I was going to say "all the things", but this works.

Payton mentioned this yesterday. He needs to pull the trigger faster. Not sure if this is confidence or the inability to read the field, but he leaves a lot of points on the field by not seeing the open guy.

He fumbles too much, holds onto the ball too ling in the pocket, misses open receivers deep downfield, and frequently checks down underneath when he doesn’t have to.

Fumbles way too much and throws 100 mph screen passes.

All this, plus he has an awful habit of throwing third down passes 1-3 yards short of the sticks. I guess some of that is on the receivers but goddamn is it frustrating.

He's throwing guys 1/2 to 1 second late, making it a contested catch or 0 YAC.

He often throws it behind the guy and not on or leading him. Our receivers deserve a lot of credit for grabbing some of those ridiculous acrobatic ones.

His fumbling is purely him not having that 'sense'

You don’t think he’s adapted the offense for Hill?

Hill is 30 years old, was a QB in college for 5 seasons, has been in our system for 4 seasons. Can we stop blaming Sean Payton for his shite QB play? These guys are running wide open. Hill has to make throws just like any other winning QB in the league

I get being a Saints fan and being hopeful about having someone as likable as Hill is getting a shot to show that he has the potential. But the truth is the dude just isn’t very good. Hes actually pretty bad. I’d love for him to have the freedom to run on every play. The guy is legit a nightmare in the open field. But you can’t be a running qb your entire career. You have to learn to operate within the pocket. Most guys have a lot of time to develop (Lamar Jackson for instance). Hill is 30. He doesn’t have a few years to develop. He can’t read the defense and he is completely incapable of throwing receivers opened. You see a lot of the same stuff with college qbs when they come out. They’re used to players being wide open. In the a covered player is still opened. It’s all about ball placement. If guys aren’t wide open he just can’t pull the trigger. He takes awful sack after awful sack. And he can run when nobody is “open”. He’s just so slow to dissect what the defense is doing by the time he gets through his progression defenders are already baring down on him. If he is the future we are in big trouble. I also believe he isn’t running more because Payton is worried he won’t hold up. We’re talking about a guy who finished almost every year of his college career on IR.

Hill is not decisive right now but that will come.

I’m just dumbfounded that a team with over 200 rushing yards never received one holding call.

We need more broken down pocket runs like the Eagles did. Enough of this QB power shite. It’s like running into a brick wall now.

And this hurts him most. Hill is a runner, he should be dojng what Jalen did against the saints. Running the read option offense.

He is not a long term answer and is only a stop gap this season till we get Brees back so use his strengths and stop attempting to make him a pocket passer

Holds the ball way too long, often doesn't see the open receiver, ball security, poor decision making.

He plays like a high school quarterback and he’s way too reckless with the ball. He is what he is; a gadget player.
