Looking for something frozen from a local spot -- Ideas?

My brother and I are making our parents a big "date night" basket for Christmas since starting next week, both will be retired. We got nice wine, some wine accessories/books, a big puzzle, comfy lounge clothes, etc., but we want to get something food related.
Originally, I was going to get some stuff from Snake River Farms, but my dad is more the medium-well type so decided against it.
Would like to get something frozen from a local place. Something relatively nice -- not just gumbo or whatever. Considered a lasagna from Anthony's, but definitely open to other options. Ideas?

Don Bergeron's has a ton of frozen options available. I'd go check them out.

Butcher bundle from Iverstine?
Gift box from Red Stick Spice? I think they do some frozen prepared meals, but not sure if that's still going on.

Get some of their favorite pizzas (pastime as an example) and freeze them - all they would have to do is pop it into the oven, or check out Tony's Seafood frozen foods - lots of good choices - If it's just the 2 of them the Big Frozen Meals are sometimes too much - make/buy them some special date night foods for 2 and freeze them yourself and give to them - jmo

Maxwells market has a bunch of stuff like that. On perkins sort of near college. Been a while since I've been out that way but I'm sure they still do that.

How about a stuffed chicken from Chris' Specialty Foods?
Or an Uber Eats voucher?

I came to suggest the stuffed chickens from Hebert's on Jeff Hwy. We bought some from there and they are exactly like the ones from the original store in Maurice which are my favorites from anywhere I've bought stuffed chickens. Hebert's has other frozen foods as well. We like the meat pies in puffed pastry. The crawfish pies in puffed pastry are pretty good, as well.

Have you thought about buying a gift card to a favorite restaurant? They could order the meal to go, or possible delivery, if they wanted to enjoy at home.

Gris Gris, are Hebert's stuffed chickens better than Chris' Specialty Meats in your opinion? I ask, because I'm not a big fan of the ones at Chris'

Yeah, I considered that too. Unfortunate thing is they live in Central kinda by the Baker line and their favorite places (such as The Francis) are 40 minutes away.
I may go to Hebert's. It has been a while since I've been there anyway, and that is more their style of food. I keep considering just getting Prime steaks from Calandros since they do not buy that nice of steak for themselves, so maybe I'll do both. Mom will eat medium, so at least someone will get enjoyment out of it

I've never had any from Chris'. Hebert's are the original stuffed chickens. My favorite is the rice dressing. I like the cornbread and the sausage stuffed as well. I thought the eggplant and brown rice was okay. I would have preferred it without the rice as more of an eggplant stuffing. There are a good many varieties and I haven't tried all of them.
If near Maurice or BR, we load up on a supply.
I think Kartchner's are okay, but not nearly as good as Hebert's. Kartchner's has that netting on theirs that has to be removed and it's a PITA.

If you make it to NOLA/Kenner JV Foods has stuff like GW Fins lobster bisque and Josephine Estelle pastas
Not sure if they deliver to BR, but you can call and see.

Used to get my folks frozen stuff and various jarred stuff from Monjuni’s. I know it’s not everyone’s jam but my parents love it.

When I saw "frozen" my mind immediately envisioned a quart of Rum Raisin gelato from Angelo Brocato Angelo Brocato . Not frozen but some cannolis would be nice too! Cannolis
When my mother-in-law was living every so often I would stop in at Brocato's and get her a dozen mini cannolis and a rum raisin cone for myself. She loved when I would get out of the truck with that box tied with string. She would light up like a Christmas tree when she saw me coming with those cannolis.

That’s a good idea. I was toying with the idea of a lasagna from Cannatella’s and I saw recently they fill cannolis to order.

If you are in Metairie the new place “Larder” just opened up that has a frozen food section. Two chefs have joined teams to create quick quality to-go food like the old Foodies Kitchen but smaller. I went yesterday and it was really good.
