With our phones giving us real time information I’ve pretty much anything we want to know, what’s the lifeline of TV news anchors being a career....and journalism being a college curriculum?

Radio DJs? Bumbling idiots are useless.

Fake news is better digested when delivered from a person.

Podcasts are popular. Even with online, on demand access there will still be a need for people to deliver the content.

I never won Def Leppard concert tickets on Pandora so keep your shittalking to yourself. DJs are national treasures.

Radio DJs are useless. TV newscasters aren't going anywhere. Everyone from local tv stations to national cable news networks realize the ratings that attractive middle aged women telling you what you want to hear can bring.

Already there. Most stations are voice tracked these days, especially out of drive time.

Yeah, the internet has just given us infinitely more talking heads and music "curators," not less. People still want someone to talk to them and tell them what to think, they just want to choose who it is.

Worry not. Small market stations are no longer live with the exception of morning and afternoon drive.
No weekend shifts that are actually live and therefore not enough to pay anythin.

Small markets are the training grounds for future mid and large size market radio announcers in training.

It's dying.

And the sooner people wise up and start to ignore the cesspools known as mainstream news outlets, the better.
