Have likely never led anything themselves. Doing what he has done in his first three years was monumental. Anyone who has led a group of any substantial size realizes that losing talent like he has means the results this year are largely expected. I’m not saying he has done a great job this year, but wanting him gone after what he has done up to this point is denying the leader he is. He orchestrated the best season ever for LSU football. That didn’t just happen, and to want him out now and to think that he would be easily replaced is what someone who, in terms of leadership experience and intelligence, is developmentally retarded.

I could have lost to Troy and only been paid like $100K

Miles wasn’t a great coach and neither is Orgeron. Both won a title here. Tell me what’s more likely, did we hire 3 great coaches in a row or did 3 coaches in a row come to find how successful they could be because of LSU.

He's in the process of orchestrating the worst season ever for LSU football, now that he has a coaching staff entirely of his choosing.

He won a national title and had the greatest season ever this calendar year.
Nothing on the field will get him fired this year but he has to hit on these hires this offseason.
Myles health and the Oline next year will determine Ed’s future imo

You are out of your mind. It’s basically a whole new team running a new defense. Pelini is fine, and will prove to be excellent with time. He’s done it before and he will do it again..
This was your opinion 6 weeks ago, I don’t see a reason to listen to any of your football related opinions.

I love it when people use retarded in a sentence that's all fricked up.

Y’all please stop with the positive post! The haters will never ever be won over! They only mildly put up with him last year because there was zero that they could have said!!
Now they coming back and beating their chest proudly again and are loving every minute of saying I told you so!!
It’s a fight you won’t win my friend!

because of LSU
No university's name is magic.
How many years has Notre Dame been between Natty's? What about USC? Texas? Nebraska? Oklahoma? Michigan?
All of those were at one time called "dynasties".
If you think that "it's easy to win at LSU" just remember Curley or Di Nardo.

The need for one side of this argument to constantly talk about the other side, and not about the topic at hand, shows an enormous amount of insecurity in themselves and their beliefs.
Just saying.

OP is right.
If you’ve lead before, or coached before, you know it’s not always rosy.
Turnover happens. So does adversity. Things happen outside of your control.
Then you have a downturn or a losing season.
The key for Coach O going forward — lean on his experience and get advice from people he trusts. Make some staff changes. Sign a solid class of new players. Reconnect with his team and get back to building.
He’s done it once. He can do it again.

He recruited well his first three years. Guess what? So did Miles, Saban and DiNardo. Nothing special there.
The 2019 team was a combination of luck (Getting Burrow due to a mistake at Ohio St and having an extra scholly due to a certain CB at Bama leaving us at the alter) Joe Brady was a great but lucky find. I know it is lucky because look he was replaced by this year.
Think of the draft picks on the 2019 team. How much coaching skill was needed?
If you want to give Orgeron credit for 2019, you have to make him own what happened this year. If you take out the 2019 and consider the second half of 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020; are we better off than we were with Miles? Maybe....
I thought we got rid of Miles to be a championship contender every year.
Give Orgeron 2012 if he survives the Title 9 issues. Anything less than 9 wins should earn him an early retirement.

He orchestrated the best season/team ever in college football history. If he doesn't get canned for the "off the field issues" then he will get a chance to fix the program. It won't happen otherwise. Some people on this board can be unrealistic sometimes.

Dude pelini is horrible
He runs the same shitty plays
He makes zero adjustments

Those that want Orgeron gone Are primarily rival school trolls and people that live truly miserable lives. They display all the traits of people that have never done much more than tell the garbage truck driver when to pull forward.

I think we can chalk this year up to a mulligan year and he's earned that
I just want to see some improvement and signs of stability next year
If it's a 10-2 type season next year I think everyone will calm down
If it's a 7-5 season he will rightfully be on the hot seat
