Our 2019 team could’ve won a Natty at Vanderbilt

The way you titled it is really confusing. It makes it sound like Orgeron is saying Burrow has only beaten 2 teams with a winning record.

Come on dude. Your title is way too confusing.

It’s crazy that 7 of the 12 wins without Burrow are against teams that ended up firing their coach that year or had already fired their coach that year.

TITLE suggest O is disrespecting Burrow. OP must have attended a government school.

But he did have Joe Burrow so this is a dumb fricking thread.

We beat 5 ranked teams in 2017 without Joe Burrow at quarterback
This is a stupid thread

Joe Burrow has been the starting QB for O in half of his seasons at LSU. He also was the one who went out and got Burrow.
I will never understand the “well if you take this part out” argument. The fact is those parts are in there and they count. You are basically saying “If you take all the good things he has done he has never done anything good”

THIS JUST IN: O is 3-5 without Rashard Lawrence. Fire him NOW.

While I appreciate the hard work of looking this info up, but you must have missed simple logic in school.
1. Ed Ogeron can't control who he plays in the regular season. (Can only control what we control). He can only beat the teams that are on his schedule. That would be like criticizing Mike Tomlin this year because they were undefeated but only beat one team with a good QB.
2. Ed was still the head coach and responsible for getting and developing Joe Burrow. So how do you simply ignore that part.
3. I am not defending Coach O for this season as he reaps what he sews, but you cant just ignore and hide that he helped build a championship program, but is also responsible for its demise in one years time.
4. I would love to see these types of stats for Sean Payton without Drew Brees or Bellichek without Brady, but even then Coach O's sample size is too small.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

I would include his 2016 results as well.

Wasn't he the coach when we beat Louisville and Lamar Jackson?

So all we need is to hit on a big time QB and we will be back?

Cool...now do Dabo’s record without QBs that were 1st rd picks.

Orgeron has beaten zero teams with winning records without Justin Jefferson. What does it mean?
Posted on 12/10/20 at 10:57 am to TotalPotato
That's a very powerful statistic. Nicely done.
