So again ATT Directv is in a dispute. So I blame the satellite company because they are paying minimal prices.

Am I wrong?

AT&T is claiming Tegna is demanding the highest rate hike they’ve ever seen....despite the same channels being completely free to watch with an over-the-air antenna. You can probably blame both sides pretty equally. Tegna wants more money but AT&T doesn’t want to overpay for Tegna’s channels and end up having to raise their prices to offset the higher carriage fees for channels that people with an antenna can get for free

Suddenlink is running a "You will miss Saints games ..." crawler at the bottom of the screen on either Fox Or CBS right now.

Dish has lost local Fox, may lose local NBC (they already have a channel setup and are getting in a preemptive strick) and they lost HBO last year. It’s getting out of hand.

Wonder if there’s any cable company thinking about telling local networks go to hell and dropping the ones charging carriage fees. Just provide customers an OTA antenna to get those channels for free instead of paying to get them thru a cable box

Ultimately who to blame in these disputes comes down to what you think the channels are worth. These broadcast media companies are severely overplaying their hand IMO, considering their product is broadcast in high definition for free.

If I were AT&T, I’d start shipping every U-Verse and DirecTV receiver with an antenna and tell any broadcast media company asking for a rate hike to kick rocks.

Call directv and ask for a refund. They will credit you $20-$25 and offer you 3 months free of Showtime.

You're right, my local CBS is back. I only noticed it was gone on Saturday during football.
