the nfc is wide open

gb has been very beatable at times
saints have taysom hill at qb
seahawks have one of the worst defenses in the nfl

i dont see why a team like the rams cant win the nfc

You must have missed yesterday

And the actual passing stats, not simply W/L, absolutely falls when Brees is out

When you have payton scheming up a dink and dunk kinda offense, a backup like mccown can complete 80% of his passes.

A genius like you is using a once in a lifetime outlier game (which had no TDs and an INT and resulted in a loss btw) to dimish Brees.

Explain Teddy B's 67.9% rating over an actual decent sample size if Payton's system is so easy to pad stats in...

Average QB numbers in the 9 games not started by Drew brees for the saints

20/30 for 66%---214 yards/game--1 td--0.5 int

Brees seems SLIGHTLY better

That’s bc the D is better. So the team hasn’t been getting their butt kick and the opposing D playing soft allowing brees to rack up stats in a losing effort.

Remember the hype that the Browns got about their offense a few years ago, and the Bucs getting similar hype this preseason? Well maybe some people will learn it's not Madden and just putting big names on a squad doesn't make them good or play well together.

Or it could be because they had a QB who spent 20 years with one team and HC come over to a new city with a new HC with a completely different offensive philosophy with only one guy he had ever played with before and that guy was away from football for a year and they had no offseason or preseason to gel.

You make this thread now and I will laugh my arse off at your spreadsheet arse if they go 11-5 and win the division over the Aints.

They don’t even have the best roster in the NFC South, much less the entire NFC. Gronk and Fournette are names that contributed to this myth, but are pretty “meh” at this point in their careers. And their defensive backfield is atrocious.

However, they do still have a lot of talent on offense. Brady is still playing at a high enough level to get hot and going on a run. And their defensive front is fantastic.

I think they’re talented enough to make some noise. But I think it would be in spite of Bruce Arians. Dude was a good OC and a decent HC in Arizona for a bit. but I think he’s been fricking terrible in Tampa Bay and will be their biggest hurdle going forward.

The threads from a few weeks ago when the Patriots were 2-4 declaring “Belichick was nothing without Brady” were predictably premature

The Broncos scored the same amount points without a QB against the Saints than Brady did with his slew of weapons.

Some NFL experts say it might possibly be possible that the Bucs have the best roster in the NFC.

Nothing worse than starting an argument with "people say", "some say", "it is widely believed."

Arians has done a helluva job making friends in the media, bc they have convinced everyone he’s some sort of great HC.

His offensive acumen is definitely strong but he’s always been given good rosters to work during his limited time as a head coach.

Saints roster is clearly better

Saints have had the best roster and team the last 4 years.

I read something where like 8 teams all time had gotten 11+ wins in a 4 year stretch, and only 1 had not won a Super Bowl during that stretch.

The 90’s bills were one of them. The Saints would be the 2nd if they don’t this year.

frick the refs in the Rams game

Ok where would you rank the Bucs roster?

I’d say they are 2nd best in the NFC

Y’all are acting like they are bottom tier

Literally no one is acting like that. Outside of the Bears game, there is no real surprising result (w/l) to any of their games this year.

They lost by 3 to the best team in the league and will win at least 3 of their last 4 games. You really need to turn off your autism.

So you are in fact saying the saints are clearly better than the Bucs?

Meh. The Packers are definitely better than the Saints by a sizable margin at that.

Strong deflection

I’ll answer, yes, the saints are significantly better than the Bucs. Outside of the NFC east, the saints want to play Tampa in the playoffs more than any other team.
