It strengthens my argument
My argument has, and will always be, judging a QBs greatness on wins and losses is dumb as frick no matter who the QB is
Now that Brees has a team that plays defense, they win with or without him. It goes 100% into the argument I have always made
Manning won a QB when he sucked horse taint, and didnt win in years when he was absolutely Elite
Brady won a super bowl in 2001 where he threw one TD the entire playoffs, and lost in years where he was bombs away
Its dumb, period

I think you mean that no matter who coach Payton has as his QB they will perform. I remember watching one of the bum mccown brothers go 32 for 38 with 300+ yards a few years back when brees was out.

When you have payton scheming up a dink and dunk kinda offense, a backup like mccown can complete 80% of his passes.
