Let’s talk about the intentional grounding the play before the winning TD

What were the refs looking at? Jenkins was in the endzone.

They did not like him throwing it so deep into the stands?

I always thought refs give you the benefit of the doubt if it’s out the back of the end zone. My biggest takeaway from the game was the terrible announcers, but I did think it was a weird flag.

Yes he was, but the ball wasn't thrown anywhere near Jenkins or the endzone. It was a legitimate grounding penalty.

I don't think it should've been called but I look at it like PI in that situation. They wouldn't have called PI because the ball was uncatchable therefore it's clear the ball was thrown away intentionally. If he would've cleared the tackle box it would've been fine but he didn't.

and the ball was in the concession stand behind the bleachers

Jenkins checked up which made it look worse but he was still in the endzone. Should not have been grounding IMO.

He got hit as he threw, which forced the overthrow. Again. He. Got. Hit. As. He. Threw. There was clearly a reciever in the area. One of the dumbest fricking calls I've seen recently.

I never see that kind of pass called grounding when there is at least a WR on that side no matter how far off the ball goes. But LSU overcame it, so that's what matters in the end.

Yeah that was wack. He threw it so damn high I think that was the only reason they thought that. But Jenkins was certainly “in the area” enough

Yeah questionable call, but didn't end up mattering in the end.
I wanna talk about the fact that Kevontre Bradford was in the game for several plays of this game winning drive - what the hell was that? Would love to see him start getting some action, but seemed insane to have that be his first meaningful snaps

Last time I checked, if the ball makes it past the los it's not grounding but I guess not.

Only if you’re outside the pocket. If you’re in the pocket is still has to be in the area of a receiver.
