I only went once but I thought Tope la was excellent. My husband meets up with his buddies often and they always go there. Menu

Maybe Jacmel Inn or Roux and Brew (in Ponchatoula) or as already mentioned, Tope La.

Cena is a nice relatively new spot in Downtown Hammond.

LINK

Great bar and atmosphere, nice charcuterie for appetizers, seafood and steak entrees to go with some classic Italian.

Got to give Jacmel credit, it's been around since at least the mid to late 70's. I can remember going to dinner there before prom back in 80 and 81. Long time ago for sure.

I haven’t been to Jacmel in over 10 years so I don’t know much about it today. It used to be fabulous. I remember their bread was unbelievably good
