That is not a mobile home. No wheels.

I live in a brick house, but I’d rather live in a nice manufactured home that I owned instead of wasting money on apartment rent.

Not gonna lie, some of those are in better condition than people I know who live in houses/apartments for way cheaper. It’s all about what you do to it/ where you put it. frick what people think about it if you have the land/want to live cheaply they are pretty solid.

I have a buddy in central FL that just sold his mobile home and moved to rural Maine. He got a house with a basement, main floor, 2 bedrooms and a mother-in-law suite for $75k. He made substantial money by selling the mobile home.

Of course, rural Maine is supposed to be 22 degrees next week.

Actually been in one that a buddy and his wife own.

It’s really not bad. Not sure why it gets a bad rap.

Yeah it’s not U club or bocage but they have space for their kids to raise 4 wheelers and go carts.

I am from Arkansas and they are easy to make.

I would live cheap but most of what I pay to not live as cheaply as I can stand is buying the quality of my neighbors.

Count me in. I live in a 55+ housing community in Florida and only pay $625 per month for lot rent, taxes, HOA etc. paid 28 grand cash for an ok mobile home, spent another 20 grand modernizing it. Community comes with 3 pools 5 hot tubs, bingo night, dances, and a bunch of other entertainment. My home has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, patio, small shed, carport, 2 car driveway. Life is good and affordable. Plus I am 20 minutes from the beach when no traffic, 90 minutes from Disney.

We lived in one from the time I was born until I was 15; dad was in the military and my parents bought the biggest one the Navy would pay to move each time.

Looking back, that was an awesome idea they had. We moved every 18 months to 3 years but we were able to keep the same home and they could pay it down. We always lived in super nice parks too with pools, playgrounds, etc. I wouldn’t judge someone for solely living in a mobile home.

Have some folks building a nice house down the street from me. They spending about 1 million. House was started, and some people that own the land next door had moved a house trailer next door.
