The other day my daughter’s car had low tire light on. I go to school and pick it up and was planning on driving to get it filled at some gas station one dollar air station. I realize there is a Chabil’s just down the street, so I decided to stop there. The guy comes out instantly and check the tires, fills up the two tires that were low. I hand him two dollars and he said he doesn’t need that. I told him it would’ve cost me almost that much to go to the little stations at a gas station, if I can find one that works. He was very grateful.

Its a nice gesture, but I have always seen it as a service they provide as part of the experience of doing business with that particular place.

Is this a gay sex allegory?
If so then no.

I’m way more picky about tire pressure than that. Mine are bang on right to left, 5-6 more lbs in the back.

Checking tire pressure and refilling it back up is literally the easiest thing you can do. It is pure laziness to not do it yourself. This coming from the guy who doesn’t change my own oil which is also simple.

Discount Tire's HQ is 10 mins from my house (great company, BTW) and I have tires checked at their store next door to HQ every few weeks and tip $2-3.

About 10 yrs ago I was in one of their stores getting my tires rotated. It was around Christmas time and I was wearing scrubs (was in between cases at the nearby hospital) and the owner of DT- Bruce Halle (at the time the richest man in AZ, RIP)- was walking around handing $100 bills to employees. He asked if I worked for him and I laughed and said "no". He handed me one anyway and said "Merry Christmas!" I figured those $2-3 tips are just paying it forward.
