Anyone know the real deal with this?

Do you think they would give him an on field role?

I actually do think they would.
I also think that's probably the only way you get sage.
Trev seems like the father figure.

Yes, worth it. Losing Sage to bama would be like a pick 6 in a tied game.

Didn't the NCAA make this a violation afterShea Patterson's brother got a job at Ole Miss?

O was willing to give Rotney a full ride to get Ish, certainly willing to give Trev an on field position coaching gig to keep an in state 5 star from Bama

It has to be an on-field coaching job, thus breaking in Trev would be A-Okay

I actually think it's ok if it is on-field position. It is a violation if you give them an analyst position.

I am about 64% certain about this.

It's a violation for an on-field role, but not an off field role.

Trev is building a great program where he is and maybe in a year or 2 he will be offered an on the field job. If I was him I wouldn’t jeopardize that

Other way around, it's not allowed for an off-field role, it IS allowed if you hire them for one of the 10 on-field spots.

Think about it, if it was for off-field/admin/analyst roles, programs everywhere would be loaded up with high school coaches of recruits they ended up getting as cheaply paid analysts. If you hire for on-field role, you're committing a ton more $$$ to that role which makes it way more serious. An "Analyst" could essentially do nothing and it wouldnt matter, cant have an on-field coach "do nothing" to get a recruit.

Yeah def on field.

That's why it's such a big deal

You could make him the linebacker coach.
Have to cut someone to Do it.
I would actually do it because he is a game changer and it sends a message

Edit: Sad that we have to pull shite like this.

Pretty sure the other guys have it right. On field=ok, off field=not ok. Otherwise Venables kids couldn't play at Clemson, Deions son at JSU with him etc. Off field jobs can be replaced with little to no monetary obligation and no contract while on field ones tend to cost buyouts. There is a family tie with Ryan and Trev correct? Id assume hs coaches would be treated the same way in regards to rules. I admit to not knowing positively. Just using the common sense approach with a little recollection of the rules involved.

Somewhere Verne Lundquist prepares a shoutout for LSU’s running backs coach Trev Faulk.

I think the rumors are believable tbh. Coach O is all about keeping the good ole boys network rolling and Faulk is fam in LSU so why not.
