Absolutely nothing. Stopped giving (and getting) Christmas gifts years ago. I hate getting shite or shopping for it regardless of occasion.

It's too early to think about that. We haven't even had Halloween yet.

Times are tough

So I had to go with the pre-owned anal beads

Wife and I have a no gift policy. Kids will be a bunch of junk they don't need and will stop using after a week.

We got a house in rosemary beach for the Christmas week so I am looking forward to that

Please, do tell how you've managed to convince your family to go along with this.

It should be noted that I am not married and have no children that I am aware of.

It's more about siblings, parents, and girlfriends. I have to bite the bullet to even scare up something for a gf's birthday.

Ahh, okay. I would love to do the same, I'm just not sure how that works.

My wife usually buys me something "from the kids" but maybe they are old enough where they won't care anymore at this point. I'd be perfectly fine with no Christmas gifts.

I know I'll have to get things for kids. Nephew will have his first Christmas this year but I'm not going to get him anything - it's not like he even knows what gifts or Christmas are.

My extended family does this as well - we don't get each other gifts (siblings, my parents). It got pointless over the years as grown adults.

Now for Christmas my SO and I also don't really exchange gifts, nothing big anyway. We always put our "gifts" (birthday, anniv, xmas) towards travel or updating our travel gear. The kid gets 1-2 gifts from us and one from Santa and that's it.

it's quite nice.

The baby gets baby stuff. The 12 year old wants some anime shite, lego sets, & drawing supplies. Not sure if my husband & I are doing gifts yet. I might get him an Apple Watch.
