Is it happening? How many scared people will be closing up the candy bowl this year?

We’ll be handing out. The kids deserve it now more than ever.

It's happening as far as I know. I grabbed a couple of fundraiser boxes from Sam's so these kids are getting full-size candy.

Don't think too many are scared in my hood. We have competing block parties.

My kids after school care is doing a trunk or treat this evening for the kids. I prepacked candy in sandwich bags and will leave them on a table while I take my kids out. Even if we just do a few streets around our house, they are going to get their Halloween night fun.

My neighborhood of about 200 houses is absolutely nuts like ive never seen anywhere else. We are the only fully developed neighborhood in our area so everyone and their kin folk bring their kids here to trick or treat. They said to expect 1500 kids this year. Crazy to the point where our HOA has to hire 2-3 police to do traffic control.

ETA: As a single 23y/o with no kids, I couldn't care less about anything else other than getting to meet some hot milfs during my first Halloween here.

other than a few Karens, which also happen to be Biden voters (go figure), we are business as usual

Normal from what I’ve heard.... we’re a destination neighborhood, need to hire cops, etc. we take the kids for a big circle and then come back and hand out candy.... will have gumbo simmering while we are gone

Stupid Karen tried to say we need to put candy in individually wrapped bags which required more touching... candy going out as usual

My town is open for trick or treating from 1:00-5:30.

However, my street is doing a block party party Saturday and will be closed to outsiders. All the houses participating will prepare candy bags for all the kids on the block.

Someone posted in our neighborhood FB group and it was a resounding YES to trick or treating.

I bought candy yesterday accordingly.

We have about 60 houses in my neighborhood, and only one being democrat as far as I know. So I’d imagine 59/60 will be handing out candy.

The town has had an organized Halloween, limited to a few block radius, for the past few years. Never seen kids knocking on my street.
