Become an average accomplishment, where you only get graded on if you can maintain that type of momentum???

Seriously, just four years ago LSU was dying on the vine with uncle Lester with no chance in sight of ever winning the SEC again.

Enter coach O and he brings the school not only a championship yet the best season of ALL TIME in college football history!!!! Watch Mike Greenberg’s case he makes on YouTube, it is a true statement!

Yet, the negativity here on the team’s performance in a year that is clearly F’d up, is criminal!!!

Everyone got everything they always wanted in 2019 and now...you don’t want what you got!!!!

2020 doesn’t even count!!!!!! No player is losing a scholarship year of eligibility. It is literally a strike year like we’ve seen in the NFL, with players holding/opting out.

If you don’t think all of this negativity isn’t hurting the program you claim to love, than I would challenge you to look in mirror and get a grip on reality!

And let the down voting begin with the classic responses of:

Dude, LSU should never play this badly in any year!

Teams that have beaten LSU look terrible against everyone else.

My favorite, Bama would never have a season like this.

All of these are ridiculous statements that are not based in reality! No team has ever lost 26 of 43 players from year to year and recovered. No one!!!!

Because successful coaches and programs strive to maintain success and elite status, they don’t have one good season then not give a shite. Do you think fans want the former or the latter?

How about Coach O can’t coach?

I said this last year as well. Because well he can’t coach. And unless he has extremely talentEd coaches coaching for him, he sucks.

His girlfriend however is smoking.

Well, you’ve already mentioned it, but I’ll drive the point further. Alabama reloads, every year with similar losses. Good coaches, with this talent, would have better success than O is having right now.

I generally agree with your post. Please take this advice as well meant, and look up the definition of the word “literally”. You are using it to mean “figuratively”, which is the exact opposite of “literally”. You could not misuse the word worse, even if you had typed, “I am thirsty, so I’m going to drink a glass of literally.”

No one expected a repeat of last year. This year, so far, stands on its own as a debacle.

Then why did we fire Les according to your logic?

As bad as we shite on Miles, he never did this bad as a coach. We were usually still competing for the west in November under Miles. Won’t be the same for O unless he has a super talented team.

It’s not about winning the natty every year, it’s just about being a competitive force in our conference, and with the talent and being LSU, we should be that every single year. It’s inexcusable for us to lose to teams like Mississippi State and Missouri, and in the fashion that we have, and especially seeing how bad State has been since they beat us.

. Yes. Agree with this. We don’t think very highly of Auburn for their one hit wonder one man show national title. They even fired their coach shortly thereafter. So, yeah we are more like Auburn, maybe worse because the program is also embroiled in NCAA violations. All that does in fact diminish the accomplishment perceptively at least.

Everybody appreciates last season.

We just want to stay an elite program.

Bama is undefeated yet they have fans bitching about their defense.

We are all fans and want the best for our teams.. regardless if it seems irrational. LSU should stay be able to maintain success better. I believe they can.

As far as 2020 is concerned.. it does count. We can only go by current life. Tomorrow is not promised. It very much counts. All teams are having to deal with the same type of stuff.. If LSU was undefeated we would totally be all about this season. Again, as a fan, you want to win..

Also if LSU doesn't get it figured out in 2020, what is to say it won't be the same thing in 2021? We need to figure things out.. We should never lose to Missouri and Mississippi St in the same season. Maybe one or the other in a down season, but not both.

Why can’t O convince players to stick around the way Saban does?

Auburn won it in 2010 and returned to the national championship game in 2013. Yet, Auburn is widely viewed as a program that “catches lightning in a bottle” rather than a perennial power due to the volatility of their win/loss total on a yearly basis.

Agreed.
2019 was awesome!
I’ve been a fan and in the stadium for 39 years. Last year will take me over and through many lulls including this season.

Best season ever

They average 10 players drafted per year over the last 4 years. That doesn’t include their undrafted players or their transfers. They’re on their 4th d coordinator and 4th O coordinator since 2015. Yeah, they do.

When a coach puts a team on the field that is clearly unprepared against teams at the bottom of the conference, people will criticize it and rightfully so. This is ridiculous.

Of course it counts. You play to win the game. The coaches and players are trying to play well and failing. That matters.

People like you said the same thing in 2017 and 2018 then Orgeron turned it the greatest season ever by far. What we say here isn't impacting the program.
