Why is Venables not a HC?

One thing I really don’t understand about Clemson’s Brent Venables... how has he not become an HC by this point? You would think he’s gotten tons of offers, besides the salary, what is keeping him at Clemson?

For the near future he’s got a great gig and both of his kids are at Clemson.

At least for the last 4 or so years Kirby was at Alabama it was KNOWN that he would leave for a few jobs that were 100% coming.
Venables seems content to help Dabo and Clemson overachieve.

Venables is better than Aranda. There is no debate. A retard could coach LSU to a top 25 defense. Hmmm.

-knows he'll win by 50 over everyone in the ACC
-both kids at Clemson
-Dabo is his friend
-Gets all the Parise and none of the blame
-Only has to worry about the defense and not what 120 dumbass kids are doing every night
I'd say that's about the best situation for in the entirety of CFB.

To be honest, at this point I wouldn't want him as a HC. Every great coach has that obsessive drive to be one as quickly as possible.
He may get the itch one day but I don't think he's built to be great at it, and he seems to know it. Self-awareness is a very healthy trait, and contentment is underrated.

Micky Andrews was a DC for Bobby Bowden at FSU for a long time. Some guys don't want the headache of being HC.

Dabo won the lottery with Venables staying. Most younger coaches with that kind of record would've been gone long ago
