WTF is $500/month supposed to do? Is this their idea of upward mobility? Libtard, feel-good, policy that will have little to no positive impact on those it’s supposed to help.

Not gonna lie. 500/month is nice. I wish I just had an extra disposable $500, that income would be pretty nice.

But this only works if you're already working and have dependable income. But even still, some people are so absolutely terrible with money that they could work and be apart of this program and still not be in any better of a place than where they started

So what happens if/when this doesn't work?

Paying lazy people to not work and have babies....isn't that sort of what caused the mess in Compton to begin with?

more programs! that will fix everything!

Teach these fricking people a god damn skill and they will have income til retirement, not $500/month for a few years ending up rt back where they started.

Oh and you california people need to stay in the beds you made.

Something like 85 million jobs are at risk of automation in the coming years. Robotics and AI are only accelerating.

In other words there’s a lot of people that better get used to the concept of UBI.
The societal changes that are coming are beyond what anyone realizes.

Cool -that's how new programs should work. Tested, adjusted then expanded.
I know, I know. It's socialism and we all know that the only good socialism is socialism for the 1% and for large corporations.

How has this improved their standard of living? Has it had a noticeable impact on crime? Education? Employment?
