Whatever happens with it, I hope it's quick. I'd rather the type of black hole that sucks us in and kills us before we know what's happened vs. a Half-Life scenario where the Combine come through the black hole and enslave humans. Those Combine Striders aren't nothing to frick around with.

A vacuum would theoretically keep it from growing. Since it’s a “tiny” black hole, it would start off with a tiny event horizon. But its mass would grow with each molecule that it trapped.
Problem is, a vacuum only works if you can keep it stationary. Eventually it would contact the walls of the container.
