Goodfellas and it isn't even close.
Seeing De Niro made a cuck by Stone's character was a big no for me on its own.

If you think that was bad, you should see his attempt at a Southern/Cajun accent in JFK. That may have been the worst casting decision of all time.

Great film, but she just drives me nuts.
I’d say it’s a good thing if a character can draw a strong reaction from the viewer

So you love Jar Jar Binks?
No, no, no...a bad character can be over-bearing...and Stone is way over-bearing in taking over this movie.
When you hate a character, you don't want them to dominate...part and parcel...a little bit here, set the stage...but fricking Ginger takes over a great movie in the 2nd Act and she's the worst part of the movie.
Lets get rid of this sideshow of marital dysfunction and get back to running the Casino and the wiseguys back home.
She's important to the film but the entire 2nd half is mostly her bullshite that nobody cares about. Who cares that she was a whore feeding her old junkie boyfriend, that shite is boring.

The guy was born in New Jersey in 43 and live between there and New York before he got his break in film in 76 and his first big role was in Raging Bull in 79.
The guy's an East Coast "Yat" if there ever was one.

Sharon Stone’s character just ruins Casino for me. Great film, but she just drives me nuts.
She plays a pathetic junkie. Her driving people nuts means she did a good job. It was a different era and different mob. 70's 80's Vegas mob vs. Old NY mob.
The guys in Goodfellas, you get the feeling would have tolerated Stone for about a week. Then she'd have had an accident. The fact that she infiltrates all these levels of mob underlings would have been a liability. Her and Sam (even though he made $$$) would have ended up in a hole.

Great but maybe a little overrated.

Not great but maybe a little underrated.

Goodfellas is my favorite movie, and I love Casino too. Such an interesting American story told very well. Pesci was outstanding as the midwestern gangster, DeNiro was great as Ace, and Sharon Stone was perfect as a drug addict manipulator. Woods perfect as usual. My favorites were the old gangsters back home though. They were absolutely perfect.

The one guy that kept all the receipts and got everyone busted. Read Donnie Brasco some time. The FBI Agent talks continually about what cheap skates all the mob guys were. They never put it in the movies because it isn’t exciting but in real life they were just dudes scratching out a living that were too lazy to work legit jobs.

The biggest problem for mob guys is, getting fired usually means you take one behind the ear if you didn't do your job right.

Thats what they said at the beginning of Goodfellas

This is such a terrible take, as someone noted above if this is true then JarJar was perfect
I’m usually some one rarely complains about bad or over acting but there’s a couple of times when Stone makes me lol at how bad she is, she’s completely out of her league with the rest of the cast

Love them both.
I think Stone has to be that way to show how Ace fricked up and got into shitty situations which lead to a lot of downfall for the group. Without her fricking around with Nicky, some of his behaviors with Ace would have been different.

Exactly. That's why he had no business in the movie. His accent was insulting. And considering how many bad Southern accents have been in films, that's saying something.

One of the hardest accents for many actors is a true N.O. accent.
So many movies that are filmed in N.O. or in close proximity of the city finds the actors trying way too hard to emulate a Cajun accent, and that just doesn't work for a N.O. based film.
That plus gumbo and jambalaya being served for meals 2 times a day are worn cliches of typical N.O. culture.

Goodfellas by a mile, and I love them both.
The Copa tracking shot is absolute movie greatness.
It, along with Eastwood/ Morricone GBU graveyard finale, amongst the best few minutes in cinema history.
