Just watched them back to back.

I know the board's feelings about Goodfellas.

How about Casino?

Sharon Stone’s character just ruins Casino for me. Great film, but she just drives me nuts.

She sucks, but James Woods is awesome as Lester.

Casino is good but drags and limps to the finish line

The nagging wife character just grated on you more and more with each rewatch

Goodfellas———cinematic greatness

Casino ———good movie. Could’ve cut out every thing Sharon Stone and had a really good 2 hour movie.

That's what makes her performance so memorable for me. Her character and the scene that inspired this meme is what come to mind when I think of Casino.

Nicky’s speech to the banker elevates the film from any other performances or problems.

But you wouldn't get the full story. Both films were solid, but the books were better.

I know I’m wrong, but I like Casino just slightly more than Goodfellas. Sharon Stone is one of those characters I love to hate. And I just love the Vegas environment a bit more than the New York environment presented in Goodfellas. Both perfect movies in my book.

I like Goodfellas better but I can pop either on any day and get lost in both of them.

She sucks the film down with it all being about her antics...you just want Pesci to take a baseball bat to Ace's noggin and yell get your shite together!

But then Pesci's character gets wrapped around Stone's fingers...and she comes between the two of them...even Pesci starts defending Stone.

She's just so awful and conniving and she fricking gets away with it for the majority of the film.

I think Scorcese missed the mark on this one by making Stone such a huge character and emphasizing so much of the drama on her bullshite.

I actually prefer casino. It takes the most ridiculous parts of goodfellas and cranks it up to 11.

Both are two of my favorite films and will stop anything worth a shite I'm doing to watch them if it's on.

If I had to choose between the two though, I pick Goodfellas. It's just perfection.

I love them both.
Favorite scene in each:

Goodfellas - when Henry breaks the 4th wall.

Casino: when Ace busts the cheaters.

This vid talks about the real story both are based on.

I'm a fan of both movies. Both are great mafia movies.

That said, next to the Godfather, my favorite mob movie is Sergio Leone's Once Upon A Time In America.

Incredible movie... everything about it is great. Great story, excellent soundtrack by Ennio Morricone, and the cinematography is awesome as well.
