They are horrible. I got included in one by a roommother of my kids class without being asked and there were 30 texts in the first hour. Email ain't perfect but it is not as invasive as group texts. Do people actually stay in these things?

They're great for groups

And you can turn the notifications off if it bothers you that much.

GroupME, and then turn your notifications off if you want, so the info is there, but you don't have to see it until you need to.

I do like them at times because they are comical and a place to express your frustrations with your friends. I am in one group text that has been going on for 6 years now, but I keep it on silent so I am not bothered with the texts all day,

I'm in a couple I like.

I've left all the ones that were annoying, and I haven't been added back.

They are useful at times but annoy me when someone pulls an old one up and starts texting 10 people when they are really only talking to one or two people.

I like them, but I also mute my group chats, so if I have to get something done, they're not distracting me.

I'm in a family one that hardly concerns me and it's driving me crazy because I can't turn off notifications, need to answer work and gf texts.

I just miss the days where I can send out a mass text to a bunch of girls and they were sent the message individually. Friday Night Me used the shotgun approach.

Not too bad as long as I KNOW it’s a group text when I reply!

Groupme, you can turn off notifications and someone can @you if they need your input.
