Looking to take the family somewhere for the Mardi Gras break. Kid wants snow. Give me some ideas. Open for anything.

Somewhere nice and warm.

Send the idiots to freeze in Montana and go relax on a beach somewhere warm.

Book a couple of suites at the Hard Rock in NOLA.

You’re welcomed in advance.

We did Grand Canyon/Zion/Bryce in winter. Beautiful national parks.

Montreal and/or Quebec City, if Canada allows US citizens in. Snow, lots of French, a stamp on your passport, plenty of excellent food....

Last year my kids wanted to see snow for Christmas. So we did a quick 3 night trip and came back Christmas Eve. We arrived in Denver at 9 am on the first day and left Christmas Eve in the evening so we had 4 days really. We stayed at the Keystone Lodge which was nice. The first day we just walked around keystone village, ate some good food, went up to the top of the mountain which has a place called Kidtopia (lighted snow fort) which the kids liked. There was also a Santa up there for the kids to take a pic with the fat man. The kids also ice skated on the lake which was nice and has a huge lit up Christmas Tree on it.

2nd day we went snowmobiling in the late morning for a few hours, came back to relax, then went on a sleigh ride dinner later that night. Very enjoyable day.

3rd day we drove to Beaver Creek and went Tubing and the rode the mountain coaster 5 times. Better than the ones in Gatlinburg.

4th day, kids ice skated again and we went shopping around Keystone before taking our time heading back to Denver to fly home.

It was a nice, quick trip, especially since it was right before Christmas.
