- Joe Biden

Daily Caller on Twitter

That sounds to me like an answer.

It is such a ridiculous and indefensible position for their entire campaign to take.

That, alongside with bitching about Barrett's nomination while refusing to give their own shortlist.

It’s a simple yes/no to the question.

It's pretty much become the standard Democrat line. Mark Kelly at his debate earlier this week said something similar.

Holy shite he really said that? If the media had any spine they would skewer him over that, but of course they won't even mention it.

We have to pass it before we can read what's in it.

Americans know your position on the matter Senator. Just interested in whether or not you respected voters enough to state it on the record.

Ummm, no. Packing the court alone is a dealbreaker. That’s the end of the country if they do that.

If they aren't answering no to court packing then it's obvious the answer is yes. Trump needs to hammer this the next 26 days.

“We have to pass the bill before we know what’s in it.”

Nancy Pelosi when questioned about the Obammy Care debacle.

Between this nonanswer and Harris flat out denying to answer the same question last night, they are 100% planning to pack the court given the opportunity.

It would be nice if the Supreme Court would weigh in on this - official letter head signed by Roberts (I know his conservative bona fides are questionable these days but he's always been a stalwart proponent of checks and balances and constitutional norms.)

I know they rarely do this but given the importance and the fact it directly implicates their job.

It's a stupid question (an "ooh, I got you" type) because the answer doesn't really matter.

If he says no - and he wins, he is not bound to never "pack the court." Kind of like the Republicans not being bound to wait to see what the American people say during an election year. Trump/Republicans win they set the rules and change the meaning of their answer. Biden/Democrats win, Biden/Democrats can do what they want regardless of what the answer to the question is.

If he says yes - and he loses, so what.

If he says yes and he wins - Congress would still have to pass a bill. What if the Republicans hold onto the Senate? What he wants doesn't matter because it won't get out of the Senate.

What if Democrats win the Senate? Then Biden/Democrats still have to decide if he wants to expend the political capital to pack it. Just because he said he would doesn't mean he will. Kind of like Trump/Republicans promising indictments since day 1...hasn't happened because there isn't the political will to get it done.

And, throw in the "everyone" knows politician's lie argument...he says no...he's lying. Hell, we all think we know his answer anyway, so what's the point of answering?

So, stupid question because the answer is worthless in my opinion.

Sure, it makes a great sound bite but it doesn't move the needle towards any clarity.

Just like they needed to pass Obama care to find out what was in it.
