Bout to make the plunge, but undecided on size. I will be loading myself, but want max capacity. Any regrets on going too small?

you should NOT post about yeti here. there is an entire anti yeti mafia that will come to call you an idiot.

75 is the perfect size. It will hold plenty of beer and fit a deer.

How is loading? Is it too big for summer boating?

65/75. Doesn’t have to be a yeti, long as it’s a rotomolded cooler it will do the same imo. Saying this and I own a few.

It depends on how you are using it. The first one I bought was a 75. I used it offshore fishing. It was awesome for that purpose. But if I just had it keeping beer cold in the back of my truck, it was too big. Took up too much bed space and a pain to move around. I keep a smaller cooler in the bed of my truck now.

I would never tell anyone what to do with their money, but I do not understand why anyone buys yeti anymore with all there is out there. I own two yetis

Depends on size. Only tan for the 75. 65 I was liking the green.

65 weigh 29 pounds empty, the 75 weighs 34 pounds. add in ice, beer, etc. are you really going to be loading this by yourself?

I have a 50 and it has enough space for what I use it for.
My only issue is the shape. Mine is more of a cube shape. Good for beverage/food storage and I use it as a sight casting platform. I'd rather a 45 or a 65 to be honest. 45 would probably be more handy for me. I don't think I'd want to lug a loaded 65 by myself.

45 is best IMO unless you will need it to really pack something big. Perfect size for a day on the water or a road trip.

I have a pelican 65 qt. The pelican is a heavy cooler on it's own and loaded its danged near impossible.

Several years ago I danged near killed myself trying to carry it loaded up a set of stairs at rental house we were staying in a the beach.

I can carry a 45qt.

An 45 is adequate for drinks for you and a couple others for the day. If you're doing an all day boating trip or hosting a party/tailgate, go with an 65/75. 75 is a real pain lugging around when its full, really not a one person job. 65 is a good compromise

Now if you're just using this for beverages/snacks/food for a day, there's no reason to buy a Yeti. RTIC is more than adequate for all that. There's very little dropoff between the 2 brands, and for the price of a Yeti, you can buy 2 RTICs. But to each their own

Love yeti and rtic cups, mugs, thermoses, and soft coolers. Both brands great for that. When it comes to the hard coolers tho..... no thanks. Waste of money.
