"The sooner we accept that, the better"
I wish I could highlight experts...see below in bold
Aint linking that shite, but an IT professor is the "expert" as to why I need to accpt that society is/should be staying like this from now on
It seems like people really do want to stay in this phase 1 bullshite and are starting to accept it...and actively telling others they need to be as well.
unreal

As 2020 slides into and probably infects 2021, try to take heart in one discomfiting fact: Things are most likely never going "back to normal."
It has become a well-worn phrase our politicians, officials, experts, even family, like to lean on — an ultimate, elusive prize.
quote:
But January is long gone, and it's not coming back. And, psychologists will tell you, that's only bad if you can't come to terms with it.
quote:
We are slowly learning if this year's changes are permanent. If work — for the lucky among us — will remain from home. If we will visit the grocery store less but spend more. If we will find wearing a mask on the metro to be just part of life. If shaking hands and embracing will become less common. If most of your daily interactions will occur via video conference (rather than in person).
quote:
"Politicians who pretend that 'normal' is just around the corner are fooling themselves or their followers, or perhaps both," said Thomas Davenport, the president's distinguished professor of information technology and management at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
"People who suffer tragedies eventually return to their previous happiness level," Davenport said via email. "But I think that COVID-19 is a little different, because we keep expecting it will end soon. So there is no need to permanently change your attitudes about it."

This blows my mind. Why would anyone be ok with this?

Kim Kardashian’s opinion on the matter would be more relevant to me than CNN

Those Experts can eat cat shite.

He needs to get out of Wellesley, Massachusetts.
The only thing that has the prospect of becoming permanent where I am is the remote work. Everything else has completed shifted or is starting to shift back to normal.

That person can go to hell. I'm not going to live in an authoritarian hellscape where the only way to meet someone is through a fricking screen. Went over 2 months without touching another human being, and that was fricking torture.

Well that report is from CNN so I'd use the word "experts" sparingly

frick anyone calling this shite normal. frick any politician who. Continues to support lockdown or restrictions of any kind. Including any republican. frick them all.

The people pushing this must be hugely damaged, or awful to point they enjoy torturing other humans.

Because this society is full of anti social underachievers that this shite is tailor made for

Florida and Tennessee governors lifted all restrictions in the past few days....would imagine every Republican governor will be doing the same soon

Not Greg Abbott who is the biggest phony sack of shite on wheels that ever rolled through Texas.

Traffic and activity in BR seems a lot closer to normal lately.
