Looks pretty close to what I have seen. Some gust seem to be in the 50 mph range

I have family in Rayne and friends in Crowley and I’m in Lafayette. I was checking wind speeds on my weather app for all three earlier and Crowley and Rayne both registered gusts of 93 mph. Highest I saw for Lafayette was 82 mph gusts.

Power has been out for a couple of hours. Transformers popping off all over. Cajundome Blvd. still has power though.

I’ve thought about getting home generator but can you believe POS Denham where I live has no natural gas line. Wtf?

That’s crazy. I know a guy in LC with one and he’s so far in the sticks he had to bury a 500 or 1000 gallon propane tank instead.

Did anyone see that ad on WAFB to stop the Legislature from taking JBE’s power?

Anyone know if it is worth it running a whole home off propane? I don't have natural gas, but I have propane for my shop. Would not likely need to run it for days on end.

I’ll say this about a whole home generator - it’s not worth it 99% of the time, but that 1% is glorious.

Where’d you see 82 in Lafayette? I have no doubt that’s legit but the airport readings never get there.

6 juicifers in, out of hurricane snacks, power still on. Time to swap to white cans and the rest of my Houston haze.

Chicken and ribeye kabobs cooking.
