My mom probably taught you in 4th grade at MMS.
There were only 2, I believe, when I went. So that narrows it down, lol.

We've got a 6-week-old son. Live in Gonzales. I'm with you on riding out a cat 1-2, and evacuating for anything greater. My hang-up with this storm is that it is supposed to be a Cat 3-4 in the gulf, then weaken to a 2 right before landfall. I don't want to be sitting at home, a-hole clinched, waiting on a major hurricane to degrade. That sounds like hell.
If you’re in BR area I’d plan for Andrew/Gustav impacts as of now. Plenty of time to adjust, but that’s the potential.

DUe to his job, my husband wouldn't want to go far .. I think I might consider hauling arse to Oxford where my daughter is. Just as soon visit and make the most of it.

If I lived in Baton Rouge I would be making my exit plans for Thursday morning to beat the traffic because power will be out for weeks in some areas.

Gustav I had a family in house and watching tornados snapping trees 8'-10' up in yard gave me a new respect for these storms.
I was at my wife's grandmaw's house in Labadieville. Saw 100+ year old live oaks snap like toothpicks. Was not fun

That cluster is right through Baton Rouge. It would only take about a 50 mile shift 4 days out to come right though Lafayette. I’m not saying that’ll happen but this is definitely a watcher for Lafayette.

Decent, but that’s an impossible question to answer this far out.
yeah i understand. i was just curious. the models looked pretty tight
i can't do this shite again. i really can't. major damage would befall LC again with all the debris, even with a 2 or so

Yeah with this thing blowing up the way it's predicted, it's going to be a tough decision on leaving or staying. I can already predict the discussion with my wife with me trying to assure her that it's going to weaken, but she's not going to believe me
I started softening my wife up 36 hours ago letting her know not to totally lose it when she’s Margaret Orr discussing a Cat 4.

Will you make the call to evac if it hits a 3-4 in the gulf?
or wait last-minute to see if it downgrades?

The only way I’d ever leave Baton Rouge for a hurricane is if you need electricity to survive. And I’d have a automatic generator if that was the case anyways. It’s ridiculous to scare all the chodes lurking on here into thinking they need to evacuate Baton Rouge.

But I was a youngster sitting at Guard unit waiting to head to Morgan City for Andrew.

Jeez, now I see why all the knowledgeable people in these threads hate when all the tards rush in as a storm gets real
