Hypocrisy of Both Sides- Own It

Both sides are somewhat going against what they said in 2016. I think Cocaine Mitch trying to distiguish the two is silly. Stand up and say both sides are taking opposite positions, but as the party in charge, we win.
The voting portion of America doesn't care about the nuance, they care about winning and losing. Don't try to win without winning. Plant the flag. Declare victory. No one on our side cares about the differences between 2016 and 2020, we want a win. Give it to the people and flaunt it. If the Dems don't like the way the GOP is running things, they should have put more moderate senators up for election and tried to win the Senate. They lost, GOP won, now do what you were sent there to do. But more importantly, do it with style.

2016 used the biden rule of 1992, not hypocracy, it is using their own rules against them.

Democrats are just mad the shoe is on the other foot.
Hypocrisy is not a good play in this scenario for them.

Hypocrisy is an undervalued trait.
it's the last thing that distinguishes us from the machines and algos.

I seriously DGAF
Mitch didn’t need an excuse to hold up Garland. Obama didn’t have the votes. Trump has the votes. Dems the rules.
frick the Democrats. Fill the seat.

Senate opposite party of president
Senate same party as president
In both cases the democrats were trying to whine the Republicans into ceding power achieved via the most recent election

Hypocrisy or no hypocrisy. It does not matter. The only thing that matters is who has power in this situation. Trump and McConnell have the constitutional power in this situation.
It's really that simple.

Leftists are actively trying to destroy our country. frick them and their opinions, if they want to be treated like they were pre-2016, they should act like they did pre-2016

I don’t give a shite if it’s hypocritical or not. We’re all human. We all have hypocrisies.
The left screams about hypocrisy because they have nothing else. Most of them are moral relativists, so they sure as hell don’t hold any high ground there.

No.
It's not.
But, this is the narrative.

What do you call shitting on democracy by trumping up 30 year old rape charges so the duly elected President’s nominee isn’t approved? Is that hypocrisy or is it Democrat authoritarianism?

Yes, there has been hypocrisy on both sides. So when you have the power, you use it. Ram it through and let the tears flow.

the 2016 position was no hearing if:
- election year
+
- opposite parties in Senate and WH
only part one is true, therefore the 'rule' is not in effect

The difference is that before the Senate was run by the opposition party. Not now.
Personally, it is the president’s prerogative to appoint SCOTUS judges as seats open and he should regardless of who is in charge of the senate.
It is the senate’s job to confirm or deny. They should vote. And if the candidate is qualified they should confirm.
But frick the Dems. They constantly change the rules to rot the game in their favor. Good for the Republican for using their own rules against them.

We don't give a frick.
The treatment that Brett Kavanaugh received in his confirmation was a bridge too far. It was an utter debacle that ruined a man's life for pure dastardly political gain. They shot for the king and missed. We didn't forget.
Dems can literally get fricked. Too bad, so sad. Y'all will do worse when you get the Senate again so we'll enjoy it while we can try to save this blessed Country.

As Obama said “elections have consequences.”
29 times presidents have been in last year and nominated a justice
17 of 19 Times the president and senate majority were from same party and voted to put the nomination through
2 of 10 the senate voted to put a nomination though when the president was from a different party
This I not out of the norm and has occurred many times.

Whatever. If dems were in this position, they’d be forcing their pick in too. Everyone knows it.

Legitimate Questions re SCOTUS Confirmation Schedule.
1. Are you still the POTUS?
2. Can you get 51 votes for THIS candidate?
If you say “yes” twice, end of inquiry.
