Great career for a guy that was wasted at LSU in regards to his talent.
Wish him the best.

He had a long (by NFL standards) career and hopefully he's set for life. Obligatory damn you, Les.

One of the Best LSU Ambassadors ever. He made that 2010 recruiting class happen! Props to you Shep!

Did he ever throw a pass?

If he was smart with his money, he should be set for life financially. Good for him.

One of my most favorite recruits with the way he carries himself & spoke about the school. Class act & great career

Greatest LSU QB to never throw a pass

Dude has the most mentally strong outlook of any 5 Star underachiever in history. Much of it not his fault but cmon his game was a moshing of different skill sets in college. Master of none. Good on him

Had a more than decent career in the NFL with how he was wasted at LSU.
7 seasons, 87 games played, 60 receptions, 847 yards, 6 TD's, 45 tackles, 2 forced fumbles

If and when LSU ever honors him in Tiger Stadium, he should get a chance to throw a pass to one of his children in front of the LSU crowd…

Eh idk if he ever really had a position.
He was fast and athletic but not a great WR and not big enough to Be a RB.
Apparently he couldn’t throw.
I am Glad he had this great career in the pros but idk what we could have done with him at LSU
Besides run a frick ton of jet sweeps. Shepard would have beeb drafted in the first three rounds if he played for Canada.

Outstanding young man (anybody under seventy years of age is young to me)
Godspeed Russell Shepard.

Shep had a helluva career in the pros. Played longer than a lot of players that out-shined him in college.
Very happy for him. He was coming in the year after I started at LSU, and I remember being so hype to see him on campus.
Congrats Shep!!!
