Hilarious NYT Op-Ed Shows How Trump Has Broken the Minds of Liberal America

Some of us broke four years ago and haven’t recovered. Along with so many others, I had to ask myself what it meant to live in a system that allowed for a proudly racist and sexist representative of the capitalist class to seize presidential power. I mourned for the younger version of myself that had cast his first vote for the first Black presidential candidate on a major party ticket and had his cynicism challenged when that candidate actually won.
No, I never assumed that in my lifetime we would defeat the entrenched forces of white supremacist heteropatriarchal capitalism. But I had come around to believing that a slow, frustrating but ultimately sustainable victory and all the jubilation that would come along with it was something my friends’ children might someday experience.
When I can’t sleep, I think of the time I walked by a Planned Parenthood center in New York City and watched a person affix a cross to the side of the building and pray over it — a reminder of how reproductive rights remain under attack and are in danger of being whittled down to nothing. I think of how Breonna Taylor didn’t even see the police coming. I think of how I lost my great-aunt to Covid-19.
I feel fragile.

Wow.
The author is a guy.
I honestly wouldn’t have guessed that.
I find it eye-opening that most conservatives were gutted over Obama’s election. Twice.
Yet we continued with our lives and didn’t become violent, unhinged freaks.

Wow it's like one wouldn't happen if the other actually existed.

I feel for this guy... some of the most vicious attacks I've been subjected to have involved someone giving me a cross and praying for me...
I can't even imagine what it must be like to be such a huge pussy that I'd submit that as an op-ed.

Well, we did vote Pelosi out of power in 2010, kept her out in 2012, then voted Reid out of power in 2014 and made sure it wasn't "her turn" in 2016.
By their standards, we were violent, unhinged freaks.

Feeling fragile? Shatter, bitch. Embrace the breakage.

Maybe the clown hasn't "determined his/her/its gender identity yet. Grow yourself some cojones you pansy arse liberal and become an American. A can-do culture that explored a continent from sea to shining sea, whipped Hitler and Tojo and put a man on the moon. The country that defends and protects freedom of the seas and promotes liberty and the dignity of the individual. Grow a pair and become an American and you won't grovel in self pity.

I can never imagine having politics be this important to me. Really, on both sides, if you simply never paid attention to federal politics, how much actual difference in your life has there been? I got infinitely more utility out of LSU's title run than out of anything political.
I'll bet this same guy knows next to nothing about his local politcis - which actually have the ability to greatly influence his quality of life.

They say this like it’s evil or something.
They’re telling you clear as day that they want the Marxist class.

I love when free markets are conflated with corporatism to push a political agenda to increase said corporatism
