9/11 Never Forget The Man in the Red Bandana

Like many, I spend this day reliving the moments that forever changed my life by watching, listening and reading stories. The story of Welles Crowther is of a hero that was sitting behind a computer one minute and saving other the next. He was one of many heroes that day but may his legacy live on.

Man I don’t think I recall ever seeing this. What a story. Honorable is an understatement and his parents have so much to be proud of. I cannot fathom having to bury one of my sons

That was a touching story. Thank God I can’t imagine what it’s like to lose a child but yet somehow I kept putting myself in their place and it was such a lonely and empty feeling.

The use of the words "hero" and "courageous" is often flawed and applied far too generously. The two fit Welles Crowther perfect.

No lie, dude. We now live in a world where the pharmacist at Walgreen's is a "hero"

Yes they do.

I've told this story on here before.
A family friend and a TA&M grad had a meeting on 9/11/2001 at the Marriott WTC. He arrived just about the time AA Flight 11 stuck the north tower. As he heard the sound of the impact and watched the debris start the fall from the sky, he saw an elderly woman who was caught out in the open. He "grabbed" her and "threw" her under a concrete bench on the street. He then shielded her with his own body as pieces of plane and building rained down all around them. After the initial impact, he helped her get up and got her safely out of the area.
You aggies should be proud. One of your own was one of the many unsung heroes of that day.

I’ll never forget the special dance those Israelis did on 9/11
It was lucky they were all able to take off from their jobs on the World Trade Center that day
