They hide all that shite from Tom because they can’t risk losing him as the face of their cult.

Mad respect for Tom for doing his own stunts. Hanging off flying planes, rappeling down the Burj Khalifa, jumping from building to building, he's done some pretty hairy stunts for his films.

Learned to do HALO jumps for the last MI movie in addition to the helicopter flying.

I think it's pretty widely thought that Tom Cruise never stops acting, and while he seems outwardly super nice it's a part of the act. There are some stories of him dropping character and being a cruel piece of shite

Have to imagine that was a stunt double

He did a fricking Halo jump where he had to chase the villain down from 20,000 feet in the air and save them both. No, he did this shite.

I haven’t heard any of that. I’ve heard that he demands to meet all the PAs the first day of shooting, and he instantly remembers all of them and bullshits with them constantly on the set. Everyone in Hollywood loves working around Tom Cruise.

The story in Going Clear of how they tried to set him up with Nazanin Boniadi, and how Cruise had them basically tutor her on how to be his girlfriend, including having her hair colored, and apparently screaming in her face for insulting David Miscavige. Recently I saw something Thandie Newton was saying about filming Mission Impossible 2 with him and basically saying he was dick then backtracking a little bit with the "he's just intense" stuff. I can't remember who the actor was but he was talking about meeting Tom Cruise and anticipating his nice persona only to be creeped out saying something like Cruise was staring through his soul trying to intimidate him into thinking he was the nicest guy in the world. A lot of different little stories like that I've read over the years that match up with the couch jumping manufactured movie star

Tom Cruise may be a weird guy and has some disagreeable opinions, but he's a good actor, seems like a nice guy, and I respect him for doing his own stunts. That's wild.

No idea how he doesn't have an Oscar yet either.

Except for Born on the Fourth of July, Tom cruise basically plays himself in his movies. Not that that's a bad thing. The guy is good at what he does.

Holy shite that’s a whole lotta ‘nope.’

Some context for those who have not grasped the pure absurdity of that picture:

Cruise doing the stunts doesn’t really surprise me, he really believes he is a super hero and is basically invincible cause of Scientology.

He’s like the #2 guy in it now. He for sure knows, his butt buddy Miscavage is the worst of them all. This is a guy he regularly hangs out with. Cruise definitely knows what is going on in there.

I've read all that too but would it be that surprising if it's just glad handing and politicking? You have to wonder how "nice" he really is if he's cool with the fuked up stuff they do to people in Scientology
