And consider that the Democrats are pushing to make D.C. a state, those efforts stopped so far by the GOP Senate. The mayor has gone on record, too, as wanting to bring down the Washington Monument & several other Federal monuments.

I dont think that's necessarily true when it comes to the individual in the OP. These people want a "revolution", and they probably don't even like the democratic party and believe it's too moderate.
They sincerely believe the system is in the hands of "evil" people, while they consider themselves the "good guys" trying to seize control of the system.
This dichotomous mindset is how they're able to justify their violence. It's the US vs them attitude.
Think about all the horrible things to left attributes to Trump and the names and labels he gets. For the political leaders it's just dirty politics...but to these 20 something social justice warriors its written into their doctrine as absolute fact.
I mean, if I believed what they did, that everyone who isnt on my ideological level to the degree the democrat rhetoric indicates, is an enemy, then I'd guess I'd burn shite too.

Does he not realize he is protesting for nothing?????? This country is not gonna change no matter how much he protests. Police are still going to go after people that BREAK THE LAW..... white or black......

But he thinks what he is doing is important. You really underestimate the narcissism of these social justice people.
They believe they own the conversation on morality, and they believe any discussion to question their moral authority is equivalent to heresy. They probably believe everyone sees this how they do and they probably get some back patting within their ideological echo chambers as well.
These almost never hear contrary perspectives to their own and big tech works very hard to make that possible.
This is why censorship is NOT the answer. You always need different views to keep other views in check, but when you believe you're absolutely correct like the tech industry does...then I guess you don't care about moderation.

Liberal elites can afford security to protect themselves or move to their 2nd or 3rd home (or finally enforce law as Mayor when they come to neighborhood). This is about motivating blacks to vote as well as stay in their place voting as a bloc for Democrats and pushing non stop in the media and social media to influence and motivate naive teenagers voting in first election and those just out of college. They need high turn out and support from these groups to win. This is the apex of everything they are been pushing since November 2016 that a vote for any candidate other than a Democrat is a vote supporting racism and keeping new Nazis in power.
