Why do guys work outside shirtless?

Can someone explain to me why some guys think it’s a great idea to work outside shirtless? I love men, but it seems like such a douchebag thing to do.
I was just outside exercising when I discovered 7 or 8 shirtless guys building a fence with their company name Big Boy Fences. Am I the only person who finds this incredibly trashy and unprofessional?
