As a lifelong Bama fan, here is how I look at it....I was raised cheering for Alabama football. Some of my earliest memories were from being out Saturday shopping with my mom who was a graduate from there getting so excited about the football, the leaf piles to jump in, the crips autumn air, just that feel of the season. It’s forever etched in me. I”be been a stalwart fan year in and year out...even in the lean times.
To me Bama football is more than a few idiot players who espouse some misguided beliefs. It is more than some disappointing times and disappointing seasons, those will happen. However as a lifelong fan, I am not, absolutely not, going to let some individuals in the program take the joy I have had following the team over the years out of me. Screw that! When one refers to a person as a Fairweather fan, it’s not just about the record, the wins and losses, it’s about the whole package. That package is a part of my family, it’s part of my culture, and it’s part of me.
I know many of you LSU fans, you have similar experiences as I do. After last year’s magical run, you have some great memories to hold on to. Don’t let this short term issue with some misguided individual players running their mouths take the whole package and all that it brings you from you either. Keep the flame, keep the joy, keep it in its perspective as the fun escape that it is because at some point it will return.
You have dealt with losses before, I know, we have given you plenty. Just kidding, had to get that dig in, but treat this as a loss and know better times will be ahead. From one diehard football fan to another, and a fan of a particular group of players who have mouthed off, I get it. But I am looking forward to better times. as we have to on occasion to get to this awesome pinnacles both our teams get to frequently.

This isn't a short term issue, this nonsense has been going on for some time which is why I've turned most of it off years ago.
Let it burn.

Our coach has professed on national TV he loves Donald Trump and says he’s doing a great job.
Your coach is a flaming liberal.

They are.
1- Because people keep their mouths shut.
2- because the university thinks more about them than those who have graduated.

Mike Gundy agrees with this post.
All things being equal, I would tend to agree. Yet funny how this sentiment is only selectively applied by proggies.

Depends on level of wokeness. If it’s above the average stupidity level. No.
I’ve already ditched the Saints, whom I’ve been a lifelong fan

I don't know about those Tiger fans, but based on the 24/7 boards, as well as a couple more, the AU fans will not support a woke AU team

I was out when LSU lit up Tiger Stadium to honor Floyd.
You can call for police reform without honoring an absolute piece of shite.

I just ignore it. The education system is partly to blame for all these kids ideology and misguided rage. They are also young and most have never had to struggle a day in their lives which leads me to believe that’s why they think the way they do. They will grow up and when the real world slaps them in the face it will be a different story.

And when it does, I might be back...maybe.
Until then, my absence is entirely their fault. They ruined a nearly 40 year relationship I've had with the athletics department since I was 10 years old. It broke my heart to give up my season tickets for next year, which would have been my 20th season. But I could not, in good conscience, support either financially or through my presence what LSU athletics has become.
Honestly, I think continuing to support them while they do this in the hopes they will change back only emboldens this kind of behavior. it's like a battered wife sticking around because one time in the past the guy wasn't such an a-hole and maybe he'll change back.

I'll still watch them play on tv, but I'll never spend another penny on merchandise I used to buy, TAF fees, or tickets. I would fully support them if they were protesting for a legit reason. Backing an organization the likes of BLM, and honoring thugs that deserved what happened to them crossed the line for me.

Aren't Alabama players and coaches marching today?
Edit: It's Monday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - Alabama football players announced Friday on social media they will march with players and coaches Monday as a united voice for social change.
Running Back Najee Harris tweeted, “Alabama football – players and coaches – are marching from the Mal Moore Athletics Facility at 4 p.m. Monday to meet at the schoolhouse door at Foster Auditorium. We want our voices to be heard as we strive to enact social change and rid our world of social injustices.”
“We want all Alabama athletes to join us. This isn’t a fan day … this isn’t a football game … this is about lasting CHANGE!”

The answer was posted 10 minutes before you posted this, but I have no problems answering.
I'm 43... finally went back to college and graduated this spring from Alabama. I love Alabama, but I'd hate to see it become woke. If they did, I'd still cherish my degree but I'd not be able to watch the crap on TV or support the school by continuing to give it money. I'd also encourage my child to not attend next year and look at other schools.

LSU needs to recruit smarter athletes instead of the dimwits who have taken over the program.

Big Mike
Floyd
Blake
Etc...
The only one close is Taylor and there is a lot of evidence coming forth that the no knock was tge right call.
We are talking about millions of arrests and every single person taken down has been an absolute scumbag.
